Alaska eBike is seeking a reliable and skilled Bicycle Mechanic to join our team. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn and grow, and strong organizational skills to include the ability to manage ebike maintenance operations. You will complete maintenance, repairs, and assembly of our bicycles for clients as well as preparing eBikes so that our tours run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs, tune-ups, and maintenance on traditional bicycles and e-bikes, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, tire changes, cleaning, and safety checks.
Assemble new bicycles and modify existing bikes to meet specific tour requirement and customer requests.
Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and ensure bike safety.
Manage and track inventory of bike parts and accessories, maintaining stock levels.
Handle the ordering and purchasing of parts, equipment, and supplies.
Maintain an organized workshop, ensuring equipment is properly stored and functioning.
Oversee and schedule maintenance tasks for rental fleet of bicycles. Ensure all mechanical work is done completely with an eye for detail.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on bicycles (preferred).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Strong professional communication skills.
Clean driving record and license for occasional delivery and pick up
Self-starter – must be able to work independently.
Can handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
