Location: Bike Works Kona
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a skilled bicycle mechanic looking to join a dynamic and passionate team? Bike Works Kona is seeking a Level 2 Mechanic with experience in servicing and repairing a variety of bikes, from road and mountain to e-bikes and triathlon rigs.

What You’ll Do:

As a Level 2 Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for essential repairs, quality control, and advanced service work, including:

 Installing wheels, tires, tubes, racks, fenders, computers, and lights
 Adjusting brakes, shifting systems, and drivetrain components
 Performing wheel truing, dropout alignment, and spoke replacement
 Servicing bottom brackets, headsets, and bearing systems
 Performing brake bleeds (SRAM, Shimano) and suspension maintenance
 E-Tap/Di2 updates and troubleshooting
 Installing and diagnosing dropper posts (all major brands)
 Tubeless system setup and service
 Conducting tune-ups and final quality control inspections
 Introduction to e-assist technology and service

What We’re Looking For:

 Experience: At least 2+ years of professional bicycle repair experience
 Knowledge: Familiarity with high-end bikes, electronic shifting, suspension service, and precision repairs
 Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues
 Customer-Focused Attitude: Strong communication skills to assist customers with service-related questions
 Team Player: Works well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
