Looking to add a mechanic for Lauf's Global Assembly team in Harrisonburg, VA.

Lauf is an Icelandic bicycle company that prides itself in being a world leader in innovation and product quality for high-end gravel bikes.

Lauf wants to hire an assembly mechanic to join our team at our new global assembly line in Harrisonburg Virginia.

Qualifications

Passion for cycling.
Passion for delivering perfectly assembled bikes.

Positive "Can Do" attitude to both work and co-workers.
Flexibility. Peak-load periods may result in required overtime.
Good physical condition. Standing while assembling, lifting bikes and bike boxes, etc.
Good mechanical understanding of bicycles.

Work Description

A full-time position in our fast growing global bike company.

Assembly and ship-out preparation of Lauf bicycles.
Quality inspection of parts and assembled bicycles.
Analyzing eventual warranty cases.
A variety of service functions on bikes.
Maintain a safe and clean workshop.
Assisting in continuously improving assembly and ship-out processes.
Various other work at the factory, such as unloading shipping containers, etc.

The hired mechanic will be working closely with the Assembly Team Lead, the Lauf US Operations Manager. The successful candidate is someone who's flexible and open-minded, and willing to do various tasks as assigned, not just assembly.
