Qualifications
Looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic, the ideal candidate is one that has electric bike repair experience. Qualifications Include:
*Proactive problem-solving mentality with a continual growth mindset to keep up with the latest technology.
*Dependable and responsible for personal actions
*Strong attention to Quality and Safety of work being performed.
*Works well in a small team environment and can switch tasks as needed. Committed to helping teammates when necessary and enjoys sharing knowledge/learnings with others.
*People-oriented and willing to interact with customers as necessary. Ex: writing up repair quotes and work orders and helping with sales when patrons exceed the sales force crew's capacity to serve.
*Be able to trouble shoot and root cause issues on a variety of different bikes including mechanical and electrical issues.
*Be able to source correct components when necessary.
*Knowledge of basic tools and how to use them for repair. Drills, grinders, vice grips, soldering tools, tap sets, etc-
*Be able to perform all of the following: Install accessories, Clean and Lubricate Bike Parts, True Wheels, straighten derailleur hangers, replace/repair tires, tubes, liners, brake pads, derailleurs, hydraulic hoses, cables, handlebars, lights, shifters, cassettes, crank arms, motors, controllers, displays, throttles, and fully assemble a new e-bike.
*Follow shop standards and protocols, complete paperwork accurately and fully (record parts used work performed detail of torque tolerance and standard procedures; complete pricing of job ticket) and process to next status or location
*Explain technical product or service information to customers and be able to sell products and services to customers.
*Report and record replacement part and inventory shortages to Manager.
*Report any deficiencies not addressed by the repair work being done to the customer and or the appropriate leader.
*Maintain shop cleanliness including bench and common workspace
*Ability to periodically lift 40-70 pounds. Most lifts will be done in the stand or with team lifts.
* Other duties as assigned.
