Love bikes, solving mechanical problems, and helping other riders get more out of their gear? REI Co-op is hiring a Senior Bike & Ski Shop Mechanic in Bloomington, Minnesota!

This is an opportunity for an experienced shop mechanic to put their technical skills to work while helping customers get their equipment dialed in for their next adventure. You’ll service and repair bikes and/or snow sports equipment to industry standards, work directly with customers, and help develop newer members of the shop team.

What You'll Do

• Service and repair bikes and/or snow sports equipment to industry standards
• Assemble equipment and deliver high-quality shop services
• Help customers with equipment fit, maintenance, products, and services
• Train teammates on shop service functions
• Mentor less-experienced shop staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure shop environment
• Identify and report significant quality or safety concerns

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of previous bike and/or ski shop experience
• A passion for quality workmanship, gear, and customer service
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to complete required training and certifications
• Flexible availability
• Ability to transfer up to 40 pounds
