LeadVelo Bicicasa is a minority-owned, “all-people, all-bikes” bike shop in Leadville, Colorado, seeking a full-time, experienced / advanced mechanic.  Accepting applications now for the 2024 season and starting as soon as possible. Salary is commensurate with experience. Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus. Flexible seasonal or permanent position.

LeadVelo Bicicasa is an alternative and radical dirtbag enterprise catering to the full spectrum of bicycles and riders. We believe queer is beautiful, racists should be composted, walls are for climbing, and bicycles will save us. We are stoked to help out customers with everything from townies to high end race bikes, and the ideal candidate is excited to work on anything that comes through the door. Knowledge of suspension systems, dropper posts and electronic shifting would be killer. High organizational skills,attention to detail and ability to cope with a fast paced setting during our peak months (roughly May through August) desired.

We work hard and play hard, and you can too!  Here in our neck of the Colorado Rockies you can ride to the Colorado Trail from the Bicicasa, which is the highest elevation bike shop in North America, and we are within riding distance of hundreds of miles of amazing and uncrowded gravel, and single track. Hiking, rafting and climbing opportunities abound (as well as all disciplines of skiing and the best Fat Biking in the nation should you love it here so much you decide to stay for the winter months).
