Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager for Bicycles to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to manage a team of service technicians effectively. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of service quality, and fostering a positive work environment. They will be required to service both regular and ebikes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a team of mechanics and service technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure all bike maintenance and repair work is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to promote services and upsell additional repairs or maintenance packages.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to service operations, including scheduling, managing inventory and warranties.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest bike technology and repair techniques and continuously improve personal skills through training and hands-on experiences.

Experience

  • Proven experience in bike maintenance or repair, with specific skills in brake repair and general mechanic duties.
  • Strong background in customer service, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with guest.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in bike maintenance.
  • Experience in managing or leading a team is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during bike repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency within the service department.
