About Ashland

Ashland is in the legendary Rogue River Valley in Southern Oregon and is home to the world famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The historic downtown has been preserved and looks much like it did at the turn of the century. The Ashland Plaza has dozens of quaint shops, craft brew pubs, coffee shops and boutiques, and top-notch restaurants.

Ashland has achieved Gold status as a Bicycle Friendly Community from the League of American Bicyclists. Ashland is a major destination for mountain biking and has played host to some major mountain bike races in recent years. An extensive network of incredible single track can be accessed just minutes from UBI’s front door.

The Rogue Valley is home to numerous well-known bicycle frame builders, DeSalvo Custom Cycles, Land Shark, and Jeff Jones.

The Southern Oregon area is a vacationer's paradise, offering miles of hiking, bike paths, mountain biking trails, white water rafting, rock climbing, skiing, and wineries galore.
