Local Rides

Riding along the Bear Creek Greenway

Southern Oregon has hundreds of miles of rural paved roads, and miles of great single track trails. The town of Ashland is a great place to ride — bike-friendly, and it’s an easy ride to restaurants, pubs and theaters from the school. Ashland also boasts an amazing network of single track mountain bike trails that wind through the forested mountains above town, and paved bike paths like the Bear Creek Greenway.

There are two local cycling clubs that hold regular rides open to the public: Siskiyou Velo Cycling Club and Rogue Valley Mountain Bike Association (RVMBA). Check out their websites for local ride and event information. You can also peruse the Ashland Woodlands and Trails Association website for community trail work days while you’re here.
