The Cycle Hostel has provided exclusive accommodations for UBI students since 1982. Staying at the Cycle Hostel while attending UBI can be a fun and rewarding experience. Not only is it one of the most affordable lodging options in beautiful Ashland, it establishes camaraderie among students.
The Cycle Hostel is coveniently located within a half block of UBI. The accomodations are reasonably priced (package prices equal $23.80, including city lodging tax) and will provide all that you will need to make your time at UBI comfortable. Although we provide a cleaning service, you will be expected to tidy up after yourself and generally help maintain a pleasant living environment for everyone.
The Cycle Hostel offers you:
- A fully serviced kitchenette including cooking and serving utensils, refrigerator, microwave, and stove burners
- Cable TV with VCR
- Air conditioning
- Coin-op laundry room
- 2 bathrooms with showers
- Bicycle parking - designated within the hostel
- Easy walking distance to downtown stores and restaurants
- Secure Access 24-Hours a Day - the hostel is available only to UBI students who are registered guests.
- Close to area attractions such as the Mount Ashland Ski Area, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Britt Festival, wineries, historic Jacksonville, Crater Lake National Park, Redwoods National Park, and the Rogue River.
The Cycle Hostel is a typical hostel/dormitory style facility. All guests share the large co-ed sleeping room which holds up to nine students, each with their own solid wood bunk-bed. Blankets, sheets and pillows are provided.
It's a good idea to bring sleeping trunks or pajamas since complete privacy is limited to the bathrooms, however, additional privacy curtains are available for women's bunks. The shared sleeping arrangements allow for one of the most economical lodging packages in the area.
